i was leaning towards mono to but i guess its a waiting game and time will tell and as far as the bichir with a p bass im not sure because i never had one but i think that the bass might out grow them and maybe it will become food but im not an expert by any means just an asumption seeing how fast p bass grow

Yeah it looks like a mono. Try to raise up that little guy to adult size just to get the experience with pbass. Then sell it in the future and invest more money on rarer species.
