Lava rock? Even worse.... Dude, let them burrow! They absolutely NEED to! Find yourself a good soil that can hold burrows, and a lot of it. And a 125 isnt going to hold a nile for very long...
Why do you feed in the bathtub? And what do you feed besides mice? What are their temps?

ok heres a pic of its whole cage and by the way the nile is up for sale or trade if theres anyone that has anything good to trade..
Whats your basking temp for the nile? That looks like it couldnt get anywhere near the right temp. The spot should be around 130 degress, for both argus and niles, and most other monitors for that matter. And your substrate, I have to say, is far from good...

its aspin bedding half lava rock and its exactly 130 degrees... this isnt my first rodeo.. they are both doing fine and eating great..
Just because theyre eating doesnt mean theyre great... They might LOOK great, but monitors are one of the most intelligent reptiles out there, and lack of hiding and burrowing, their 2 main activities, drives them mad... All that stress builds up after a few years, and boom!
