I hate naming fish. I cannot do it. I think it is stupid. I had a girl name my fish once, I do not call them those names however. She named my STUD GT "RAINBOW" I mean come on. My fish will remain nameless for now and I do not foresee them getting names anytime in the distant future either.

Well just be a stick in the mud then!

oh ive named a fair few fish over the years, only really special ones though
well ive kept alot of fish so this is over a few years, the notable ones i remember

oscars - Yin + Yang (both red oscars but ones black other is white)

golden wonder panchax - Lil (my gf wanted to name it after her)

mananakop the Vieja Zonatum​

10" aggresive female mayan - Jerome (thought it was a guy and name suited the aggreessive nature!)

Bicherio the bichir (like cheerios =D )

labeotropheus fuellebourni - Fat lipped sally

hybrid african - ***bo

Yang the panda puffer

Musselini the polleni grouper

Picasso the valentino puffer

Odin the 1 eyed snakehead (aptly named after one eyed king of the norse gods)

My original forum name was lost so this is a new one. I read this post and had to reply with my fish names.

First must explain to you how my fish were named. While in college my roommate and I had guests of our apartment name my fish. Neither he nor myself created any of these names. They go like this:

Julius - Jack Dempsey
Muhammad - Green terror (Gold Saum)
Asian Sam - Texas Cichlid
Pink Panther - Pink tailed Chalceus
Common Pleco - Big Black

I've only named my Oscars. The first one I ever owned was named 'Pissed', the second one was 'Chuckles', and the one in my Av is named Odin.
