Get some. Take the advice you have been given above and get some. I'd add that you may want to do some large water chanes often. Gotta know you will end up with one or a pair and tankmates aren't in the cards.

I had them but really need to be in a large tank if a pair. For a single they do alright but not well with other fish. Not really worth the trouble for me. Enjoy my Veija Zonatus a lot better. A lot hardier and you could keep some tankmates with the Veija.

That's a very impressive pair Duanes!
I had good luck caring for them the same as any other New World species. The only thing to keep in mind is they are very aggressive towards eachother. I used to keep a pair divided in a a 75 gallon and they would spawn on a regular basis.

On a growth scale of 1 - 10 with grammodes being 1 (super slow) and trimac being 10 (super fast), I'd give the hait a 4.

I got my batch of odo back in the summer of 2006 and one is almost 12".

I fully agree...I don't think it has anything to do with diet at all. I got 3 small haits a while back and fed them everything high in protein I had and they thrived...

I have 1 male and 3 female haits from Jeff. They are very slow growing and extremely mean. I finally got the male to choose a female without trying to kill her. They have been together in a 90 with a fat sleeper goby as a dither.

I'm trying to get Acestro to sell me Ike. LOL
