Is it true there is a species of freshwater saw fish in australia?

Pristis microdon aka freshwater sawshark. Get too large for normal aquaria but after the breeding season the young move up into freshwater and can be caught at a fairly small size. Could be kept for awhile in a decent sized pond tho'.

cool, I thought I had seen something about them years ago, In the US we have sawfish that come into freshwater too but i don't think they have babies in freshwater.

Just got this guy today.
He looked a bit beat up, but he seems to be fine.
Is he a Rendahls eel tail or just a normal eel tail?
