Are Bass and Bream/ blue gill in the cichlid family?

I don't think so. Texas cichlids are the only native cichlid in the US as far as I know

They have cichlid like appearance and tendencies.

Bass and sunfishes are in the Centrarchidae family, while cichlids are in the Cichlidae family.
