I don't know if I should ask this here or the vendors forum but, are there anyone that sell US native fish? For private ponds?
I'm looking for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, carp, channel catfish, and rainbow trout.

The answer is yes, but you pay a premium price for buying low quantities. Try googling Jonah's Aquarium for a nice selection of natives.

See if you can find a local lfs licensed to sell them.

try fishing for them. That is what I did for pbass, jewel cichlid, midas, and red devils

thanks, but I live in CA and don't have all those tropicals..lol

i wanted to get the American fish..
but i'll try the joanh's place

well you still can fish for them. theres a quarry across the street from my grand parents, we fish all day in the river, keep the fish that we are allowed to keep and toss them in the quarry at the end of the day. now we dont know where to fish the quarry or the river because there probably more fish in the quarry now

yeah, but most of the fish in our local waters are contaminated with mercury..and I wanted to make a natural theme with my pet turtle.

You can catch all of those in the delta, except for the Rainbow Trout. You will probably need a chiller for the tank if you were to keep a trout in it. Let me know when your ready.

Chances are your turtle will eat most of what you catch... I'd set up a fish tank if you want fish and not worry about the mercury.
