Native Tank Update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I saw it, too. I don't know if it was you or not, but it scared me because it makes perfect sense. I mean, a sunfish called "Green" that looks a lot like a bluegill could easily be called a "Greengill". I'm thinking, "Hooray! Another common name for Lepomus cyanellus, as if there weren't enough confusion among anglers already. :D

"Hey, I caught a panfish!"
"No, it's a perch!"
"You guys, you guys, that right there is called a "baitfish", see?"
"Let me in. Boys, this here is a Blue Sunfish, says so in this here fishin' guide."

And yes, I know, the tank needs a background, lol.

x2

you have some really nice bright sand and some nice light colored rocks. Toss a black backround and make those colors pop!!
Hopefully I can find something soon, and when I do, I'll post pics! ;)

Thank you. :)

Think I found one of my favorite Natives, lol. Came back from fishing today with some new tank-mates. :naughty:
Pics tomorrow. Camera died, lol. :nilly:
And all of the Fatheads are now gone, and the LMB and Green Sunfish have full bellies. I suspect that the Painted helped as well. :D Off to the pond to catch some more in the mornin.
