Natrual filtration?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im having great difficulty understanding the posts so let me see if I have this straight. You want to build a pond, indoors, with no power or natural light on someone elses property? Question that comes to mind is why. The other thing im thinking is what about a windmill or something of that sort running a waterwheel/biowheel kinda rig? I thought of doing something like that for my pond.

ok but is there anyway to move waer without some sort of electrcs or generator?

It seems if you don't want to use fishdance's or semper's suggestions, the only option left is magic. Better start practicing.:grinno:

yeah windmill or solar panels you can not just move water without putting some form of energy in . only only other way is plants

you may require alot of them depending how many gallons your talking about but I would suggest Hydro 5 sponge filters run on battery powered air pumps with rechargable batteries that get changed out as needed. This will filter +/- 100 gal per hydro 5. secondly, do you need to heat this pond? heating with no electrical is a question for someone else. Is running a generator an option?
or perhaps a power converter plugged into a car to give you 110v to run normal filtration. hope this is helpful

Um, suggestion: Get an extension cord cleared with the owner, or pond isn't very practical at all.

yes prob is extension cord may be out of question by owner of house(not me). solar power may be possible. when i say natrual filtration even if that means sum sort of way to power a pump or natrual movement water things like some sort of siphon etc. anything at all. just plants are out.

If you are asking for some sort of perpetual motion machine, you are out of luck.

Scientists have been working for years and have not found out any such machine.

Hire a bum 5 bucks an hour to sit on a exorcise bike that is attached to a pump that pumps water through a wet/dry.

Or maybe you could just wait to get electricity before you put the fish in it. :nilly:

I would never trust solar or windmill as if its night and calm your fish are going to get mighty low on oxygen.
