Meanwhile all the fat cats that are still there (Penn St) sit up there in the board rooms or admins offices still receiving a fat Pay check. It isn't any different than when a coach, athletic director or the athletes involved move on right before the lid blows off of a cover up for cheating in recruiting or payouts. They move on but the students left behind are there paying the piper. I can care less about Paterno or Penn St University. These penalties affect more than the athletes, it also affects the academic students who chose to attend Penn St for the so called College Experience which included the football program. None of which had anything to do with the tragedies that happened.
Punish the correct individuals, not the whole institution. I could care less about going to a rose bowl. So punish the whole in spite of the few. If any one should be penalized it should be the NCAA as a whole. They are nothing more than a corporate entity with tyranical power to wield at their whim. Making decisions that dramatically affect individual lives with no repercussions unto themselves.

thats one way to look at it ...the injured fan..... ps the ncaa is a strictly voulintary join ...penn st can leave any time they want ,and join the naia....by the way the head fat-cat (pres. of the bourd of regents)just resigned so ....wich fat cats were you refering to ,just about EVERYBODY from the cover up era is now gone

once again whos being "punished",certainly the fans dont have a right to an11-1 football team just because its penn st.... go to a game and root for your team and get over blaming the ncaa for what jopa and his gang of thugs did

IMO, the punishment was way to light. The $60M in fine is only a drop in the bucket. The donations will be flowing in from all the delusional alumni, fans, and supporters. The entire city of State College/Happy Valley is so delusional; they worshiped Joe Pa like he was God/Muhammad himself. In order to smack these people back to reality and give them some time to actually see and understand what happened and comprehend what the school administrators and athletics department knew and didn’t do because of the Football.

On top of the punishment, they should have gave the school the death penalty, no football for the entire year. No home games for the 1st year after coming back. No TV for the next 2 years after coming back from the death penalty. This would have giving all the delusional people at Happy Valley enough time to look back and see because everyone at the school put football ahead of everything is why someone like Sandusky was allowed to continue to do what he was doing.

Penn St. football should have been devastated for the next 20 years. Not with the current punishment. Money talks and Penn St. and their supporters have alot of it.

The entire current and old generation of Penn St. fans are all delusional and needs to be reminded by Penn St. losing as many games as possible to understand that football is only for fun. Hopefully after 20 years of losing, the new generation will see the light, because the generation of fans now are too late to be saved… literally.

Ahhhh, he is posting. Explains why my last page only has 4 posts. I still cant believe he hasnt been banned for repeated personal attacks. Im not sure what he posts are like in this thread, but my guess is there is at least 10, while including false accusations that everyone that disagrees with him must worship penn state and joepa.
