I have a fish that is getting his ass kicked and he is going to his new home in a few days. I can not really leave him in the current tank because he will simply die... I was thinking if I take this plastic container that I use for water changes which should be around 10 gallons if not a bit larger... if I connected two air stones to it and fill it up with current tank water. Will the fish manage without any filtration or anything for a few days?

Sweet, thanks! I just moved him, will go sleep safe today without thinking if the guy will get killed or not over night. :headbang2

Should work, can you drop in an air stone? If you have some egg crate or some perforated plexi you could just temporarily divide the tank.

The tank is already divided, and I put two air stones in there. :)

Sleep well, the fish should rest easier as well.

Keep a good cover on the bucket. For some mysterious reason, putting fish in a bucket triggers a false evolutionary step where they think they can walk out on land.

Yeah I have one, just took it off for the pic. I got two dogs and a cat running around as well... :)
