Okay, I have looked at this thing for a combined time of probably a half hour by now haha... its gotta be a pseudotropheus of some sort. I'm just about 100% sure on that now. Even the snout looks to me to be pseudo now... the fins are pretty intense for a pseudo, but its nothing so outrageous that I've never seen it before...

Metriaclima sp. Anything in the "zebra complex" is considered Metriaclima. There are several red-top type zebras.

I have been tossing this one around in my head and I have decided that you are right, but I am not sure which of the red top type it could be. I am sorry I could not be more help.

Most likely M. greshakei. The blue will fill in and lighten up, the barring may fade.
Other logical possibilities would be M. pyrsonotos, M. emmiltos (M. sp. Mphanga), or M. mbenji - males of which look exactly like M. greshakei but the species is not anywhere near as common in the hobby. The fish also lacks the proper barring for the previous two species mentioned.
The fish is young and appears a little elongated. With time he should fill out.
