Egg crate can be bought at home depot I think in 2ft by 4ft sections ... It's made to cover ceiling lights in top ceilings google it

I've never had an issue with sagging, just gotta know how to use it properly. Just giving the op a low cost option for a lid that works.

I use ceiling grates on my 180g. They're cheap and easy to cut out for plumbing hoses. Evaporation is a little faster, but as long as I change water every 1-2 weeks, I don't need to top up.

Hit up your local glass store. Get a few peices cut. Worked like a charm for me
