canadians idea is ideal, however if you are like me (college kid) money is tight and i usually do the safest+cheapest way and the egg crates look like a great idea. if the local glass store has scraps you might could give cutting glass a try yourself free practice!

Hit up your local glass store. Get a few peices cut. Worked like a charm for me

I believe you can get it in both colors (I just pulled that pic off the internet). As for sagging, I've had it on my tank for about 4 years and it hasn't sagged at all.
