I have a dragon fish and he keeps the sand turned over and eats all the poop. He is about 13 inchs long and about 1.5 inches around the neck.
dragon fish=Arowana, and they DO NOT eat poop...not even Plecos do
Dragon Fish=Dragon Goby=will be eaten by ray, needs BW, still doesnt eat poop

it is only 55 gallon. I have trying to go bigger. There is a sand area to the right of the rocks as well. I made the picture large so you can see the dragon fish pocking his head out of the left side of the rocks.
:OMG:
Rays need like 150g...Tinfoils need like 100...

WOW.... im really speachless here i got some ideas for you to try but sadly im gonna tell you to learn from your mistakes and figure it out yourself..

Actually the dragon goby should be fine with a ray that is equal or smaller in size. I have seen them as big a 18" and 1 1/2" thick. His is 13". They do sift sand, as the OP observes his fish doing it. They may eat blood worms, but they are filter feeders and will also eat algae wafers and other sinking pellets as well.

As suggested, make a divider for the female, so she can eat in peace, assuming you can't set up a tank for just her.

My ray died this morning. As far as the feeding I always made sure she ate. I went to great lengths to make sure she always had equal amounts.
I knew something was wrong...when you have something long enough you know when anything is different.

I am still puzzled what happened. Any ideas? I will cut her open tonight to try and figure out what went wrong...any ideas?

From what I understand about tea cups and these rays were pretty good size... At times I was under the impression that I over feed them. What change is a good idea. I added fresh water yesterday.

That tank is way to small even if you had no decorations let alone you had decorations in there. These rays were probabley under so much stress being cramped in that little tank with no room to swim or hide... Sorry for your loss but those conditions are sad. You might want to read all the stickies.
