need advice from xbox people

Probably shouldn't be reading from the last page forward, but......No? Neither system is superior. Unless, of course, you are only saying that b/c of how the PS3 is a bit more powerful then the 360. However, that would be a foolish statement, seeing as neither console has come even CLOSE to being tapped out.


If you are saying PS3 is better because it is Blu-Ray, see above statement.

If you are saying PS3 is better because of the failure rate, I suggest you research a bit more. The 360's failure rate with the new Jasper chip is as low as the PS3's. Oh, btw....when the PS3 gets the yellow-light, does Sony give you a new one? You can't deny the customer support shown by M$.

If you are saying PS3 is better because of the online experience.....I can't help you there. I really hope this isn't the case.


So, it comes down to the games. Ehhhh. Depends on what you like. I'm a Halo, COD, and Forza boy. I can play all of those on the 360.

Actually the jasper chip has yet to be addressed in this thread so kudos for adding that link! As for the Yellow light of Death on the ps3.... That's a general indicator that ANYTHING could be wrong with the motherboard so no, Sony won't repair that for free if your out of warranty. The RROD on the xbox is a specific indicator and not general, hence the difference.

I own both systems as well, I dont think one systems is surperior to the other, I just prefer the whole Xbox online gaming experience over the PS3's.

I hate to get into an argument its one that will never be solved if people argue one way or the other for the rest of time. It a personal choice and the sooner people stop trying to convince other people to have the same oppinions as themselfs the better off everyone will be. We just have to agree to disagree with things like this.

M$ repaired my 360 (the infra-red didn't work, so I couldn't use my DVD remote) for free, when it was over a year out of the warranty.

i dont think the ps3 one must be as bad as the rrod, first ive heard of it(although i remember it was pretty ****ty when all the ps2s stopped reading discs).

i think if microsoft didnt fix the xboxs with problems it would have been PR suicide.

Oh no no no....Please don't read my post as "PS3 has just as much problems as 360".


What I meant to say was that M$ replaced all of their broken 360s for free. You have to pay Sony $150 to get your PS3 replaced/fixed.


Whether or not it was a PR thing, they still did it.
