Need advice on a filter!

I'm looking into buying a filter for my 125 strictly for mechanical filtration and water polishing. Not really looking to break the bank atm either. Thanks in advance for any help.

What do you put in the filter to polish? Do you use floss or just pads?

I change 50% every 3rd day. I don't use polishing pads anymore in my canisters so I've been wanting a 3rd filter just for mech filtration.

Agreed with the other two posters. AC110 gives you more turnover (500 gph) than most cannisters. Not as much room for biological, but, you are looking for mechanical anyway. For the money and the intended use, it is pretty hard to beat the AC110 as your solution.
