Will a Intex above ground pool with metal framing do well outdoors in Florida or will it deteriorate?

Cause I'm thinking outside in my back above ground if it works
It will include a strong filter big heater, in the shade with a pond net over it does that work? Let me know also what size do U guys think

Not sure about anything outdoors with tropical fish. How low will temps get? It would cost a lot to heat a pool to 75-80 from 40-50 degrees outdoor winter time weather. Don't know too much temps in your area so yeah just guessing it can get that low where you live.

Honestly a 300 gallon tank will be your best bet. I would get at least 8 foot for length and 3 foot wide. Get a motoro Ray as well lol

I can get 300 gallon tanks for under 800 bucks with everything on Craigslist a lot of the times. This is Chicago where I'm looking every area is different.

Good luck maybe for a few months you can let a lfs take care of it if you pay them. Some lfs will let you if you have a good relationship with them. I

Ya I'll try the 300 gal of possible but I live in Florida where highest is HIGH and lowest is 40 during winter

So outdoor won't work cause that was my best bet I mean idk I'll try both we'll see which works out better

Attempting to heat a large pond or pool of any size is going to prove to be difficult. Unless you are in south Florida, around Ft. Lauderdale or Miami where it rarely drops below 60 degrees, it will cost a fortune to heat that and the heater you would need to do this would easily run you $1000+.

That isn't even factoring in the monthly operating costs for that heater and a filtration system large enough to run a pool/pond. I know a large outdoor container for it seems like the cheaper, easier way out on the surface, but I assure you it isn't.

This is your best bet. Arowana are awesome fish they truly are and a 300 gallon will do well for that guy. A pond is a headache plus that style pool you must cover that thing and you'll never ever get to see the fish properly. I forgot where someone bought it but there is a 300 gallon fiberglass tank for 800 you can buy brand spanking new.
