I need to get some home gym equipment. just feel like staying healthy. currently i just run on my treadmill but i wanna get one of those things where you can do sit ups and stuff on it. what are they called? i think they're called sit up benches? im not sure. also i want one where you have the bench to do sit ups but then it has weights on it that are at the back, small ones. so what im trying to say is whats the correct name for all of that?

Could be a simple basic weight bench?

Just get a regular bench

If it's a reguar bench then usually you can use it for incline and decline

Decline is what you're looking for

As for weights, I'd leave the dumbells alone and just get a regular circular weight

Maybe like ten pounds, hold it close to your body and away you go

hey im a personal trainer and a fish nut haha, my advice to you would be to go to a local store that sells exercise equipment and learn more about some things and see what you think is right for you.

or get a free trial at a local gym for a week and see how you like the gym scene

don't really like the gym scene, did the weekly trial thing and had fat men perving all over me no thanks lol. i almost tripped on a treadmill because this guy was smiling at me and i didnt want him watching me run.

i know this shop that sells gym equipment but its like you go there and you choose on a catalogue, they don't have anyone who can give me advice. i just want something for sit ups and something that will work my upper body because im already doing my lower half on my treadmill.

why is decline what she is looking for? lol she never said anything that would indicate that decline bench is what she is looking for haha

and by regular circular weight do you mean a medicine ball?

Get a bench press! Gotta keep the pecs in shape too! :D

incline is were you are on a bench and the back piece is diagnoled up ward, kinda like your on a reclining chair at a beach.

decline is the opposite, the back piece is all the way back and down, so your head and spine are pointing down. (incline and decline is hard to explain online and nothing you shoul worry about right now lol)

females will not get big muscles no matter how hard or long you work out for haha the girls that you see in magazines who are all jacked and bigger then most men are all using steroids, that how they get that big, so you dont have to worry about that.

a cheap and effecting way to tune your upper body (i would still work out your lower body because although cardio is good, resistance trainning(weight lifting) will tone out your legs way more and better then running will. and im tanlking in a slim lady like way (no big muscles lol)) would be to buy some dumb bells and a stability ball
then you can look online for different work outs

with the dumb bells and stability ball you can literely work out everything, you just need to research diff workouts to accomplish this.\

BUT YOU CAN DO IT!
