Need advise! (frontosa saved from a terrible situation, What now?)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a Front colony so I can't comment on other fish in the tank with him, but I do know my guys do not leave the bottom much. They are rarely in the open. My dominant male runs the center of the tank with the subs and females on the sides and in the back behind rock. I feed krill, bloodworm, and brine (they don't like it too much). They LOVE black worms and LOVE spirulina flake. None of them come to the surface to eat. I use straight spirulina in flat sheets. It sinks pretty well. My guys are NOT active at night. All 20 vanish when the lights go out until late morning. I take that back. The juvies/adults disappear where the babies are up early apparently to watch cartoons. Good luck!

Thank you! Well that helps a lot because I wasn't sure if plant matter was gut for fronts, I know like I know the rock dwelers die from bloat if don't feed them enough veggi matter. So I was kind of think it might be the other way around with preditorial fish.

Mine also dosen't like krill very much, but he eats it. He really goes crazy for algy spirulina flakes, he goes into a feeding frenzy when I drop some in.

Mine is a bit more active, swiming in open space and such. He seems to be most active when I turn my lights off and only natural light illuminates the tank.

Another thing he does is scoop up crushed coral in his mouth and spit it making little hills all over the tank!!! And moving around all the shells, annoying but in a way it's good because when he dose that he frees any traped waste and one of the filters picks it up.
