The link I posted above shows that the intake section is hard piped and is meant to connect to a filter bag AND the output fitting from the pump is meant to connect to a riser pipe spray head.
In order to use it for an aquarium filter, you would need to purchase the intake fitting, hose, Q.D.'s (if you wanted them), intake strainer, output hose and output J-tube. Truthfully, many of these parts could be substituted with PVC & heavy wall vinyl tubing easy enough. The only fitting you would have to buy is the intake fitting that connects to the bottom of the canister.
Considering the filter is brand new, never used, if it was a good price, I would still considering getting it if was the appropriate size for your aquarium. Since the seller is near your home, why not take a look at it. I would check to make sure the pump is rated to work on 60 Hz and not 50 Hz, just in case it was purchased overseas.
