Ok, my problem is I have this brown algae everywhere in my tank. I will have pics up tomorrow but it's like the brown algae you get when you first start the tank. I had that and it left. Now it is back and won't go away at all. I had my lights set to come on at 7AM and go off around 7PM and nightlights on at night. I have no clue what to do. Help me please!

this just happened to my mom tank too...she bought a algae pack thing that makes the algae go away..it work to...its called algone

I still get brown algea, bought 2 powerheads, problem solved. I have no clean up crew so algea gathers

I have been in Iraq since April but when I left I had 10-20 combo of snails and hermits. Only fish I had was Blue Tang, Yellow Tang, and a Lion. Lion died a couple months ago. I have two power heads installed. I can't remember which ones but I think both are the Koralia 4. Maybe they aren't pointed right???

from what ive heard, city tap is the main culpret for algae blooms....how big of tank is it and what kinda of flow do you have?

well do you have some snail's to clean up diatom algae such as the brown algae problem? What is the flow of the tank and phosphate level? How much do you feed and how often?

I don't know if there is any snails left. Not sure what you mean about the flow of the tank, what exactly are you asking or wanting to know about it? Not sure of phosphate levels and I think she feeds a small pinch of flakes twice a day and on weekends when she will be out of town she gets a 3 day fish feeder thing.

i use to get it b/c i had direct sunlight hit the tank from a window so i cover the window with blanket problem solved
