would clown loaches be compatible? cause i have two in my tank right now, with my dat[4"].

Yeah, clown loaches are good aslong as they are big of so that the dat cant eat them.

What kind of Ctenopoma?

I keep a Leopard Ctenopoma with my dats...

So do I. He's smaller than they are by a little but is quite the eater. It is fun to watch him and the little indo go hunting for krill or feeders. I haven't given them feeders in months though. Now that I mention it I'm going to have to get some tomorrow. It'll cheer the AT up, he has been kind of unhappy lately.

Anyway, they're great tankmates. I'm considering adding another ctenapoma, since mine spends most of his time in the top half of the tank, while the dats and other big fish spend all their time near the bottom.

so, from what you guys all said, compatible fish are:
Nandus Nandus, Archers, birchirs [endli], shoal of silver dollar, flagtail, arowana [green] rays, triginus, peacock bass, Leopard Ctenopoma, and clown loaches

...right? any more, im just curious and also because im starting out with my first datnoid [btw, his tankmates are a 1.5" leopard ctenpoma, a 4" common pleco, 2 4" clown loaches , a 3.5" convict cichlid, a 4.5" bichir, and a 4.5" tinfoil barb.] should i change his tankmates or is this ok?

Those tankmates sound OK. Keep an eye on the convict, though. I have kept one with my dats and for a while in one tank the convict would go after my silver dat. He stopped once the dat was larger though. My convict is much less aggressive than most though. If yours is a jerk be prepared to get him out of there.
