Need help for lap

So i should my friend the lap. That my LFS was holding for me, he said thet he has the same fish but didnt knoe what was it, so he said he'll just give it to me cause his jack dempsey always attack the bichir. Dorsal fins are still attached but has alot fins missing. So my question is, do i need to buy a medication for it, cause all i know is salt, wc and melafix, to treat a shreded fins. Any advice would help. Thank you.

Hard to tell but if there is no redness or anything that looks infected just do heavy wc's and some salt. No need for the melafix.

With torn fins I just keep up water changes. I don't even add salt, but some prefer to do so.

Either or is fine. Would do salt and wc's. Salt helps to get some slime coat going.

It will heal (maybe not perfect) but no worries. Just make sure your water quality is A1. It will take some time though.

Those filets are just so long, love it. I think it will fill out with time and you will have a nice lap on your hands.
