My issue is the hikari pellet... doesn't matter how fast they get eaten they are RANKRequest: Post the video here. My water is starting to smell poopy.
I cant see how this could cause horror stories ? The one guy in that thread left out some information then later came back with addition issues.
Anyway dont put the stuff directly in your sump. Put it in a fine mesh media...i guess stockings could work too. Then put it either in the display or sump.

Yeah that's why I kind of wrote them off as husbandry issues... the posts basically contained zero real information just "I put RidX in my tank and now a week later everything is dead". Could have been trolling (Or using the scented liquid instead of the solid stuff), who knows- seems like the prevailing theme is that it's quite beneficial.
I was planning on putting into into a fine mesh bag in the sump rather than into the display directly. Is it better to just put it in the display though?

RidX is the best thing I have discovered in the hobby since switching to a sump. Thhat guy was probably an idiot.
I read one in the forum that a gut put it in directly in the tank and his rays dies from it, they said it dosent work for scaless fish but i dont have a scaless fish so i dont worry about that.
The one guy put to much dose in his tank that it start to melt his driftwood, but he comment that he was experimenting on how much dose can the fish stand(took one for the team) lolz.
