Looks like a truvue all in one. The back area is the filtration. Can be used as either salt or fresh like any tank.

The holes are throwing me. Are they in the filter area or display? Or do they go in to the display from the filter? If in the filter area I'd guess a drain for water changes. Either way a small piece of acrylic and some weldon would seal them up.

Thanks for the response i was thrown off by the guy i got the tank from telling me it was made for fresh thats why i asked about the whole freashwater or saltwater
The 2 bottom holes run from the display to the first of the 5 chamber filter system

I meant to post a bit more but hit post by accident and then ran out of time editing the post lol.

Anyway, I did maintenance on one of these for a few years. It had holes going out the back which we used for water changes. I'm not sure what those are for as I don't remember seeing them in the tank I took care of. I'd seal them up. There should be another hole or holes near the top of the last chamber too, for return water.

I wouldnt specifically go looking for one of these but if one showed up in a size tank I was looking for for a good price I'd not turn it down. My problem with them is you are kind of trapped into using the filtration as the manufacturer set it up. But that's me. Many people would probably like the direction. It makes it easier to have a tank and not worry about setting up filtration. I like setting up tanks and figuring out how or what I'll use to filter it. Being acrylic it'd be pretty easy to modify to your liking though.

Once again thank you for responding i really do appreciate it! Sometimes you dont get anything lol
Yeah i see no other holes just the 2 on the bottom left & 2 in the top center with the 2 Nozzles with the overflow notchs on top nothing more? Me too i like to set up a tank & sump...but im only use to canister filters fx6 ect. I have little knowledge what filter med would be used in each chamber
What i would love to do is cut that out & have a true 46" width instead of 38" ......oh i hot it for $3000 i thought it was a deal?‍♂️ im just a little unaware exactly how to set it up to run saltwater!

I'd have to see it in person, but I'd turn the whole back filter into a coast to coast overflow. Open up all the inner chambers to each other, drill the tank for a herbie drain system and run a sump. You'd have to cut more weir spots in the filter area to the tank. It's be a bit of work but in the long run be worth it. 38" is plenty deep enough. I had a great 120 standard reef set up 24" was a ton of space.

It's hard to see exactly what's going on in that overflow area. I have to admit I would most likely cut out the entire filtration area, refurbish/polish the whole tank, and set it up with a back mounted coast to coast overflow. Would probably take me half a year but that's such a cool tank I would just have to have it my way. That AIO section takes up too much space imo.

What you have is this but bigger.

We enthusiast typically don't like them due to the "filter" eating up precious tank space.

Not sure why those holes are there, maybe a previous owner got a bigger pump and needed more flow on the intake side. Tho being that low seems like it would skip the mechanical section. ?‍♂️

That sounds like a solid plan i do want that few more inches! What do you think that would run$$?.
Its only going to be up for a few months because im moving .
I would wait to set it up but my stand for my 240 has termites !!? A.S.A.P save em or give them away!?‍♂️ btw this is the back, best i can do pics!!.... top & front of back 5 chamber the middle chamber has 2 Nozzles
