Need help! Looking for any experts on TuVu aquarium?? Please

I don't think truvue has made those aquariums in quite a while. I could be wrong. You may have a hard time using it as intended finding "original" replacement parts, like the skimmers they used to sell to go in the back. But you may be able to find a decent hob. I agree using it as is would be the quickest option to getting it up and running. Modifying the existing unit would to me be the next.

I'm not sure the easiest way to remove that chamber system. I'm sure it could be done but I don't know how. If it were glass it'd be simpler just cut out the silicone, but being acrylic I'd guess cut the acrylic and sand down the edges. I've not had alot of acrylic experience. I buffed out a 300g acrylic tank, that was a lot of work. I built an acrylic sump with help from a friend who made acrylic products. I messed up one of the welds on the sump. My friend was able to remove the panel using the weldon to loosen the two pieces but they were only minutes old. I don't know if that works on something that has been assembled for a long period of time.
What do you think it would cost having a pro come & do the work gut it & buff? How old do you think the tank is because i couldn't find it anywhere with a Google search & TuVu website only have 300 gallon max & i can find info what filter media it used or any information ....i guess it doesn't i can always figure something out. "improvise" any recommendations on setting it up at the moment?

Ok thank you! Much appreciated for your time.
Im going to ask the prior owner he did say he added the bottom corner holes.........
Oh & the 2 nozzles the guy said the biggest nozzle on the right was for the return pump & the 2nd smaller nozzle was for a smaller pump to increase the flow. If you were setting up this tank as it sits how would you go about it?

There was one of these for sale on Craigslist recently. The original owner had removed the filter section and it had made a crack right where it met the back wall. He was selling it saying it held water, but a crack in the bottom of a tank is a big risk. I would leave the filter in place and run it. Plug those 2 holes in the bottom though, they allow water to bypass the prefilter.

Honestly no idea. Probably wouldn't find any professional that would touch removing it because of the inherent risk of damage.

Like I said if it was me I'd either seal the bottom holes, or turn that back area into an overflow which would still be a bit risky but less then removal.

Thank you for your help i really do appreciate it

In that first pic above are there holes in the bottom of the pump chamber? If so he may have been using it as an overflow to a sump underneath already. You could do the same. Or patch it and use the internal filter.

No holes in the bottom of the aquarium
The hole's with the nozzles are at the top coming out the center chamber & then it has just 2 small holes at the bottom right back panel going into the first chamber
The guy said that them 2 holes were just to help with the flow in filtration system .

& the only other thing is it looks to be a ***** to drain the water ?

Do you have a full picture of the back by chance? If the baffles are setup the way the one on the last page is, those 2 bottom holes allow the water to skip the prefilter. If not done right those bottom holes could do more harm than good as far as filtration goes.
