Either sound good, but I dont know how the rams and apistos will hold up against Angels and Acaras.
Need help on finding what freshwater fish to put in my 55 gallon

!! i just did some research on the water chemistry for the blue acara, senagal bichir and angel fish and ill be able to make them all comfortable in the same tank and according to pyramid party they'll get along fine so Yay!
ill be putting 1 sengal bichir (definetly)
2 angelfish (definetly)
3 blue acaras (Might change the quantity depending if i find some other fish i like that are compatible)
so far 42 inches of fish anybody know any other fish that would look nice with these or that i can put in the tank with them?

ahh and im planning on using sand for a substrate and planting the aquarium so thats a good habitat for these fish right?
Hmm I would've done an african set up, With African Brown Knives,African Butterfly Fish,Rope fish and leaf fish.But if you still wanna go with wat you have chosen, Don't get the acaras and get festivums instead,They're far nicer.
ehh festivums only get to 3 inches i liked the fact that acaras get to 6 inches i wanted a few big fish in my tank would the acaras really cause damage to any of the other fish?
Acaras are generally peaceful, I have a 3 incher and hes real nice. I think the sand an plants is perfect. Maybe add in a little cave or 2.
ok a few buffalo heads a few lelupi a few brichardi a few julidochromis marlei and regani a few leptsoma and a few shell dwellers and a few calvus would work nicely all together for a nice tanganikian tank
