Need help on finding what freshwater fish to put in my 55 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im thinking of putting two juvi's in my 75g?

Gupler cats are expensive, anywhere from $50 (if you are lucky), to $150 each. Some grow up to 12 inch I believe, and they dont make good tankmates with any other fish, even if they are larger. They've been known to swallow fish twice their size.

Species only tank if you get them.

!! i just did some research on the water chemistry for the blue acara, senagal bichir and angel fish and ill be able to make them all comfortable in the same tank and according to pyramid party they'll get along fine so Yay!
ill be putting 1 sengal bichir (definetly)
2 angelfish (definetly)
3 blue acaras (Might change the quantity depending if i find some other fish i like that are compatible)
so far 42 inches of fish anybody know any other fish that would look nice with these or that i can put in the tank with them?
Lose the "inch per gallon" rule, it doesn't work that way. That's an old saying that just won't die. I'm not so sure the Acaras would leave the Angels alone and Angels are pretty slow fish.

Hmm Gulpers are exspensive,Easy to keep cats =]]They eat most things...IO wonder if they eat coffee ???Or tea..?LOL Anyway back on track, It isn't unlikly to pay $175+ for one, the size doesn't seem to matter with this species.

Personally I'd ditch the Angels and go with a pair of green sevs instead. I love blue acaras. I've had 4 and they all have been awesome fish.
