Well i think i wqnt to get a cichlid for my 38gal semi aggressive tank. Its got an ac110 filter, lots of driftwood, and as for plants it has lot of crypts and 2 anubias nanas.
The fish are:
1 bristlenose pleco, 1 clown pleco, 1 whiptail cat, 1 swordtail (should be gone soon), 1 angelfish(will be removed if needed), and a small school of red and blue columbia tetras.
I was thinking about getting either a single female convict or single female green terror. I want the green terror more than the convict, and i want a female because i heard that the female terrors are a lot more peaceful and only get to 7" or so.
So, can i get the female green terror? Or is the convict the only option?

both will prolly bother the angelfish and tetras... but every fish is different so it could work for either

female green terror is fine in a 38g but swordtail will be killed and angel will be hurt. How about a salvini?

id go with a female convict and they come in a variety of colors and have you looked at the variety of dwarf cichlids

my female gt is mean as hell and she attacks any fish she sees

I cqnt find apistogramma anywhere, and i cant seem to find badis either. As i said, the swordtail will be removed soon and the angel will be removed if necesary.
That said, are you guys saying i can go with the female gt or the female convict?

festivums have similar aggression as angels a single severum(female) might work but really need more space to flourish. A green terror is probably too aggresive and I still feel the tank is to small for even a female. convicts are pretty aggressive in my opinion

u like salvinis
