My severum has swallowed a convict as well. Its day 2 now and he managed to fit the whole fish in his mouth - but I can still see some bits of the tail... I hope it will decay soon and he will be able to swallow/spit it out. I dont really want to stress out the fish by cutting up the deadfish in his mouth....

My JD did this with a corydoras- It was horrible but she bit through it eventually. I'm REALLY glad I didn't pull it out.
After three days the severums must have swallowed the convict. Do not try and remove any fish stuck in a cichlids throat/mouth....
