im 13 and i have a 6' tank. u just need to persuade ur parents into getting you one. say ''but other teenagers have them'' lol
I wish I could get them to do that. But they are really stubborn. Right now I'm trying to let my mom get an indoor pond in the basement.
I think until you can get a much bigger tank for the black Crappie, you should put him in the outdoor pond. The Crappie need at least a 120 G. when full grown and in a 60g with a Bass and a Redbreast will definitely get him beat up.
And a 15" slab crappie is a very old fish. OBVIOUSLY three fifteen inch fish won't work in a 48 INCH tank (it's a 60 gallon), but his fish aren't 15" and won't be 15" for a very LONG time. If he got three young crappie (4" or so) he'd have several years before he had to worry about upgrading. Lets not forget you're the first person who suggested he add two more crappie for a total of three of them. Do try using a modicum of common sense before you attempt to flame someone.
OP, with that filter you're probably overstocked as it is. Save your allowance for a bit, keep an eye on craigslist, and try to get a used Aquaclear 110 or a Fluval or Eheim canister filter. Your fish will love you for it.
And I did ask what his filtration was, didn't I? I was going somewhere with that. ;-)
regardless if you have 3 fx5's or a topfin 20 on it, 3 15'' fish cant fit in even a 48'' tank
I think I am getting a 55 for my redbreast and adding one more crappie. I am building another outdoor pond for when they get big.
