need help with female stingray!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
she recently started moving her disc like she was healthy then after a bit her disc started moving fast then she curl up really high like the letter U, then she calmed down and lowered but she is still curling slightly

Yea good luck man, doesnt sound good. From wut i have read there hasnt been a turn around after the curl has started. How big is she? just curious

is she eating at all since you moved her in the new tank..?
Heat will calm her, salt will help in the healing, but it maybe to late.
what is different about the new tank? How long was the tank set up before you moved her? How long has she been acting like this? and again, has she been eating since she was moved? what do you feed her?

Sounds like the tank may not have been cycled properly, or she overloaded it. Test the water!! Change some more water, changing water is the best bet IMO!!

kinda what I was thinking... why I asked how long was the tank set up before moving the ray. Be intrested to find out....

1. 35% Water change pronto (just water change, don't do anything to stress her out like gravel sucking, etc..
2. Throw in some live nightcrawlers to get her eating
3. Keep the lights off and limit the amount of movement in front of the tank
4. Move a filter from the old tank if possible and add it to this tanks filtration temporarily to make sure you're getting proper filtration;
5. Water change every other day and pray;
6. Have faith in your ray, motoros are a very strong line;

How is she doing?
