hes just sitting at the bottom now,not on his side or anything, just sitting upright on the bottom
No one will be able to tell you exactly what's wrong because you haven't tested your water. People telling you to add this or that are not helping. If you can't test your water, at least do a water change. If you have time to log on and post, you have time to do a water change. If you know something's wrong, you shouldn't wait till sunday to do something about it.
I'm suprised you don't have a test kit, I can't live without mine. Poor water = Stress = disease.
Not eating (or eating then spitting out) and sitting on the bottom showing little life? Check the colour of his poop as these are signs of internal paracites/ Hexamita type problems. It it is white/clear then that is what it is.

i think hes improved a bit.
last night i defrosted two frozen prawns from the baitshop and gave them to him and he ate them fine and then he got abit aggresive for a minute and started spinning so i think he just spins when hes annoyed.
im getting a test kit as soon as i can, so what testers should it have in it?

The API Master Test Kit comes with everything you'll need. Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH are probably the four I rely most heavily on. Be sure to get liquid kits. Dip sticks are said to be inaccurate.
i dont know if hes sick or not anymore because its like hes choosing not to eat and he stays near the filter and if anyone goes near him he goes aggresive and starts spinning and tires himself out thats why he was resting on the bottom the other day and hes rested on the bottom a couple of times now.
