Channa can be very hard to read, misunderstood and tempramental.
You could find that in a tank with reasonable decor and fish of similar size the Channa leaves well alone.
I have a par of parachanna Obscura in a larger “community” setup but with nothing smaller than 2/3 the size of the Channa . But there are fish smaller than channa in there such as synodontis, bristlenose plecs, male bumblebee catfish and climbing perch but the channa have always behaved, even when in breeding color.
Your answer in my opinion could be no but it could be yes. Depends on the temperament of the fish themselves.
Note however that that tank will not be big enough for very long at all for either fish and there is a risk the Channa will grow much faster than the bgk.
