Let them breed trimacs. Who cares what they call them. Next thing you know they are going to give collection points for flowerhorns.

most trimacs are not pure like your petsmart trimacs so i can see if there crossing 2 non pure trimacs that look like trimacs they might bring out a diff trait in the offspring but if there real trimacs then the only offspring there going to get is trimacs. glad im not on that forum.

Nothing worse then posting misinformation.

Thing is that is Sonny and Lucky, they have been in FH's longer than anybody. I think wahtever they are trying to say is not being communicated well.

Those two know flowerhorns........

I think they meant selective breeding, like he said after 4 generations they came out with the JK Flowerhorn. I'm going to go off my experience with discus genetics, look at all the diversity of colors but they are still the same species. Possibly they found and exploited a pigment mutation like they did when the breeders in Asia created the pigeon blood discus. Just food for thought.

I recommend that no one tell them any different. Let them believe that pure x pure = F/H.

^i agree

I am confused...how does breeding a Trimac with a Trimac, both actual species, result in anything other than a Trimac...
