Never noticed this air bubble before. Its huge!

You can see it, I tried to get the best pic. Tank will be under warranty, should I try and get another one? Or will it being on my home made stand be what makes them say no its my fault. Lie and tell them its on one of their stands first??

I dunno, makes me worried, especially being on the bottom corner.

Thanks

Was it always there or did it just appear?
Take the pic at a different angle so your stand doesn't show and email the pic to the manufacturer expressing your concerns.
It may be ok now but for how long?

Exactly!

I think it's always been there, but I just dont remember it being.. so big.

Yeah, I'll do that, I have had a hard time getting a hold of the manufacture. I must have been trying to get in contact with a sister company of theirs or something.
So I am going to bring some pics to the store I bought it.

If it was at the top, meh... but at the bottom. Thats scarey.

I have seen this in larger tanks in the LFS..... all the way down the sides in one Perfecto 220gal... I asked them about it and they say its normal to have some air inclusions in the joints.... but there would be no way I would buy a new tank like that!

Burt :)

I know it isnt much of a comfort, but the silicon on the inside is doing the most work sealing the tank. The silicon binding the joint is acting as a glue. I know that doesnt help with the whole "sleeping-soundly-at-nite" thing.:uhoh:
Also, if it helps, the frame is aiding in the corner support, and it being a new tank(or newish), the silicon isnt old and brittle. Just watch it and see what the manufacture will do.

Good Luck.
sleep tight.....

should be perfectly fine. most tanks have bubbles in the seams if you look hard enough.

they get there when they are putting the panels together and stay there for life.

they are only an issue if they move when you press on the glass. otherwise, they are encased in silicone and your primary seal is prefectly strong.

LOL if you are talking about the one they used to have in Hamilton at Big Al's I remember that.

all tanks have the odd bubble but some Perfecto's seem really bad..

Lol thanks bud.

Yeah I know it would probably be alright... And I definitely know how strong silicone is. However if I can get a fresh tank that will ease my mind, I will be happy.

I went into the store with pics and expressed my concern. Buddy at big als will see if they can warranty it, he thinks it should be no big deal.

Which means I might have a 120g tank swap down the road :nilly:

I can dig it. Thats the one thing I hate about setting up a tank, then its over... and you sit there starring at it wanting to do something with it, but there is nothing to do.

Water is good
Fish are happy
It looks good... And the filters work???

This will spawn some excitment.

Hahaha, these tanks suck. I'm ready to rip my hair out.

So after getting a replacement tank. And spending all day swapping them out. I fill it up 3/4 of the wall and notice one seam is full of bubbles. But after speaking with a company who makes aquariums, they assured me these little bubbles I spoke of will be fine.

So, then while I'm sitting at the computer I notice light under one corner. Go over and look, well the fricken tank isn't even square!
I know my stand is, I threw a big 4foot level across it before I put the new tank on and I know my stand is dead nuts level!

Its sitting up 3/32" :nilly:

Big als is going to love me when I walk in tomorrow and argue that my warranty replacement tank is not really the best....
