I always think of a recovery tank as a 'comfort' space made cozy. Fish relax more when acclimating. Less stress=better healing.
Yeah, I understand. Getting her stress reduced was one of the main reasons I moved her to my bedroom. Less activity around the tank. New home on top of horrible illness, I'm honestly surprised she had settled in so well in the first place.I always think of a recovery tank as a 'comfort' space made cozy. This is what I have so far.Add some fake floating plants/ vines. I'd put a skim of sand on the bottom to reduce all the reflection and glare. Couple piles of smooth stones too. If necessary tape a piece of cardboard to the sides. May have to go with a higher dose of prime to get that ammonia under control. Good luck!
This is what I have so far.
Just need to hunt down the fake plants. I have some SOMEWHERE.

I named her Bellatrix Lestrange.Good start. I'd put a piece of brown cardboard on the back to get rid of all the white. Or you can use a velcro strip with fabric.. Add smooth river stones too...can grab those at the dollar store. You're gonna have to give your fishy a cool name!
I named her Bellatrix Lestrange.
I was originally going with Voldemort, but from my poor skills combined with Google, I suspect he's actually a she.
She's still smooshed in her flower pot this morning. I ordered some fake plants Incase what I have isn't enough.
I will definitely get something on the backs and sides of the tank today.
Got my fingers crossed for her. ??
