Need some help with retic stingray

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Both meds in the tank at the same time are perfect. Remember to add more meds after your partial water changes to keep the levels correct. I usually do two or three treatments of one week each just to be sure. Please let us know how your ray does.

I think that depends on the ray. Usually within a week it will begin to eat a little bit and each day increase the amount it eats until you begin to see a litte hump on its back after each meal. I generally feed three times a day with babies. Be care ful to rinse your hand before reaching into your worms after touching your water since the meds kill worms. I rinse my hands between each reach into the worm bag or container.

Be sure to treat the retic a second maybe even a third time. Did your second ray come in? Sometimes a second ray eating will inspire the other to eat. Any updates will help.

The new ray won't be picked up til the 2nd of November. I did buy some ghost shrimp today and even got some tiny snails..I've read he may eat them as well. If not, I just introduced a snail colony into my tank. lol

The meds have been in for 3 days now, dosing and doing water changes as directed. I've read, as you said, that the meds will kill the worms, but the "leftover" worms on the bottom of the tank are still alive from day to day. Is this telling me I am not dosing strong enough?
Thanks again,
Derek
