If you are having pump problems baffle the area with the DSB off. Just take 2 pieces off glass put one before the refugium area and one after. That will maintain flow and stop the sand from getting into your impeller.
No, not yet. I found a guy on Craigslist with some smaller aquariums for less than PetCo's $1/gallon sale, so I'm waiting to see if he still has any 20 gallons or 29 gallons that would work for the sump.
