I like the idea of Discuss fish. Had thought of it before, but was worried about them becomming a snack. But hey, my 6" bala shark became a snack, so I guess we all take a chance.
I have Dats in another tank. They are just not big enough yet to put in with my rays. Since they grow slow, it will be another 6 month to a year before I feel they are ok to put in with the rays.
But I do like the Discuss idea. Think I will go that rt. And I like the look of that Geo also.

thanks for the info..

cheap when lil and indistinguishable between the various SIMILAR looking species. I would say 2" or under a price of 5$-10$ tops! THey are almost impossible to tell what species they are at this size. And 90% are sold as surinamensis.

When they get big, Expect to pay a boatload compared to when they are small.. THey have gorgeous colors, long trailer fins, and can hold there own for the most part. Big Geo's can go for 75$ a piece, no question about it.

Im lucky, there is a guy near me with two 7" Geo's (I think abalios or proximus) on Craigslist. He just wants a 50$ rehoming fee... hes an hour away so Im trying to get hime ot take off 10$ more..(Stickler I know)

So if I can get both 7" geo's for 40$ that is a great price (to me at least)
