just make sure your bichirs are pretty small too, youd be suprised how small of a bichir can fit a 2-5" fish in its mouth...

alright .. thanks. this is what im thinking but i know nothing of the fish so would like someone to help me:

First: add sen, ornate & del (prob the 3 ill use), florida gar and lima at all around the same size .. whatever size i can get them . thatll be a start.

when these fish grow up a smalll bit im going to add the pbass at the size i originally added those ^

and once all these fish have gotten like 7" ish .. im gonig to pop in a 4" ish silver aro or by that time i might decide to go with a black or something.

anyone see a problem with this order or can suggest a better way of doing it?

You should be all right adding all juvies now, IMO. But you can wait on the arowana for a few months as long as the ornate is as small as you can get.

so adding whatever type of smaller pbass i can get should be fine along with everything else? and ya i am deff waiting a little bit before i get my aro .. fast grower. and so other then that the ornate is who id have to watch out for? well i cud replace him and go 2x sens and a del or 2x dels and a sen .. i have no problem with that. thanks for that advice. anyone disagree? i wanna be certain i limit the chances of losing a fish as much as i can

I like the ornate idea but if you want to limit the chances by all means....

But also you don't want to wait to get a arowana too long cause the price will most likely double on it by the time it will be a safe size for a bigger bass to not eat it. Bass can cause some problems with an arowana if it is too small. And juvie Pbass can easily become a snack for an ornate no matter what the size.

IMO... add them all.

haha i like the idea. ya i think im gonna leave the ornate out if he will be one of my problems .. the others are worth it but what kind of bichir i choose doesnt matter to much so ill prob leave the ornate out .. other then that u think adding all at same time including aro will be fine? im just thinknig the aro will grow fastt and the bichirs etc will be in trouble

Bichirs grow quick. If bought at 4" By the time an arowana is 8-10" about 4 months down the road, the bichir will have also grown.
My albino senes went from 4" to 7" in 2 months.
The pbass you will want the smallest.

I'd go get 4" arowana, bichirs, catfish and get a 2" bass.
And personally I'd leave the ornate.

sounds easy enough for me. so basically just try to get the pbass a bit smaller everything else should be fine .. thats good.

and by leave the ornate u mean you would leave him in the mix or you would go with 2x sens and a del or vice versa?

I meant it as in I'd still get him. It's just a personal choice as they are one of my favorites.
They can just be a pain with smaller sized fish. Seeing they are the same size or bigger you're fine.

u can have plants as u go along.. its always nice with REAL plants.. as they get older.. u should probably pull out the plants.. it tends to get in the way...

EX: Arowana.. best to have open space, fake plants can get in the way of an arowana when swimming, and no driftwood that are pointy and stick up like jaggy edges... (cases of broken jaws/lips or blind eye from pointy driftwood)

I like ur idea of introducing as the size go along. always best to have comparable tankmates of similar sizes..

If u ever plan to add a pleco... plants is a bad idea.. in stead.. a good clean up crew would be a fei feng.. these guys are good clean up crews..
