I need ideas on what to stock in my 125 gallon tank.

First off let me state what fish I don't like. cichlid, goldfish, bichir, and betta. That pretty much sums up my dislikes.

I want to keep the tank a community tank.

Some fish I was thinking about adding. Keep in mind I havent dont much research on some of these. Be for getting them I will check up on comparison with each other for water conditions.

2 gold veil angel
couple flame dwarf gourami
1 african butterfly
Black Kuhlii Loach
either redtail sharks or bala sharks.

I would like to keep one or 2 L-46 but they are way out of my price range.

Anyone have any ideas.

angels are cichlids......

also he was talking about frontosa, which are also cichlids.

Really cichlids are so varied in shape, attitude, color, size, ect. you can't hate every cichlid. If you like angels why not go discus aswell?

wow I seriously didnt know the angel was a cichilid.
there are a few that I do like but I dont think they would work for a community tank.
Demasoni Cichlid
Orange Leleupi Cichlid
Brichardi Cichlid, Albino
Ram, German Blue (really like this one)

I guess when I say I dont like them i'm talking more towards the larger sized ones. The ones I have listed above are beautiful.
something like
Compressiceps
Moorei
etc

so your right I cant say I hate all cichlids since I dont.

Have you thought about keeping Discus, their pretty cool and come in heaps of nice colours.
You should be able to keep a few Discus in there with some cardinal tetras or the like as schooling fish aswel.

seeing a 125G tank turned into a community tank makes me think omg what a waste! lol each to their own, if you wanted something cool i would suggest keeping discus but you would have to research alot ( giving the fact you didn't know a angel was a cichlid ) they need alot more care than most fresh water fish and may need to invest in an RO unit.

i really love rainbow fish ...you can have a nice big group and some are very colourful

How about loaches along with barbs, rasboras and danios? I'll be willing to help you further on this. Once a loachaholic, always a loachaholic.;)
