Ok I have been doing a bit of looking around online. This is what I came up with. Nothing is set in stone though. Just getting an idea.

German Blue Ram
Temp 72-79ºF , Ph 5.0-7.0 , Max 3"

Bolivian Ram
Temp 72-79ºF , Ph 6.5-7.5 , Max 3"

German Gold Ram
Temp 72-79ºF , Ph 5.0-7.0 , Max 3"

Kribensis Cichlid
Temp 72-82ºF , Ph 6.0-8.0 , Max 4"

Gold Veil Angel
Temp 75-82ºF , Ph 5.8-7.0 , Max 6"

Flame Dwarf Gourami
Temp 72-82ºF , Ph 6.0-7.5 , Max 2"

Redtail Shark
Temp 72-79ºF , Ph 6.5-7.5 , Max 4"

Neon Tetra
Temp 68-74ºF , Ph 5.0-7.0 , Max 2"

African Butterfly
Temp 75-86ºF , Ph 6.9-7.1 , Max 4"

Sharkskin Barb
Temp 73-82ºF , Ph 5.5-7.0 , Max 2"

Rosy Barb
Temp 74-79ºF , Ph 6.0-7.0 , Max 6"

Just from those looks like to keep all the fish happy I would need to keep.
Temp at around 75ºF
Ph at around 6.9-7.0 (butterfly makes it a higher minimum)
No butterfly the ph would be around 6.5-7.0

What are your opinions on this list?

i say longear sunfish, they look great in a dark substrate tank, 125 is good for upto 4 of them max, get a pair of them and some madtom catfish, you'll be all set, wont even have to use a heater seeing as they are native north american fish

Is it possible to make your LFS order loaches?:) Let me know if you really want these. I have never heard of the name "snakeskin barbs" but I have always loathe common names. Your tank is just perfect for a Grrr tank consisting of tiger loaches, Yasuhikotakia morleti and Yasuhikotakia modesta along with giant danios, Puntius filamentosus, P. arulius and red-tailed black sharks. If not a peaceful loach tank will consist of Botia almorhae, B. dario, B. histrionica, B. striata and plenty other botiine loaches. You can mix several barb species with them.

as far as the lfs ordering fish then yes. They said they can order me any type of fish I want that their distributer can get. I was looking at loaches earlier today and they seem to have a higher temp requirement (79-86)then most of the fish that I listed. However I have kept a Kuhlii Loach in a community tank though and it did just fine at the lower temp levels. But that was when I first started keeping fish years ago and didnt know anything. Also have kept a clown loach before too. I havent kept loaches in about 5-6 years now, maybe longer.

It'll be great to get you keeping loaches again.:D Which ones do you like? If you can visit www.loaches.com, you might be able to find some species you like. I'll help you sort them out. Add to your list the possible dithers such as giant danios, filament barbs, arulius barbs, Rasbora boraptensis and a few other cyprinids.

A few corrections:
German Blue Ram
Temp 76-84ºF , Ph 5.0-7.0 , Max 2"
These rams grow to 5-6 cm only and in colder temperatures, they are very likely to become lethargic and succumb quickly.

Bolivian Ram
Temp 72-79ºF , Ph 6.5-7.5 , Max 3"

German Gold Ram
Temp 76-84ºF , Ph 5.0-7.0 , Max 2"
These rams grow to 5-6 cm only and in colder temperatures, they are very likely to become lethargic and succumb quickly.

Kribensis Cichlid
Temp 72-82ºF , Ph 6.0-8.0 , Max 4"
Minimum has to be 76 degrees. This is a tropical species, not sub-tropical.

Gold Veil Angel
Temp 75-82ºF , Ph 5.8-7.0 , Max 6"
They can do well even at 86 degrees max.

Flame Dwarf Gourami
Temp 72-82ºF , Ph 6.0-7.5 , Max 2"
76 degrees should be considered minimum. Another fish that is not sub-tropical.

Redtail Shark
Temp 72-79ºF , Ph 6.5-7.5 , Max 4"
74 degrees should be minimum. Max size is 6 inches.

Neon Tetra
Temp 68-74ºF , Ph 5.0-7.0 , Max 2"
68 degrees is incredibly cold for these fish and these are not coldwater species. 72-78 degrees would be a suitable range.

African Butterfly
Temp 75-86ºF , Ph 6.9-7.1 , Max 4"

Sharkskin Barb
Temp 73-82ºF , Ph 5.5-7.0 , Max 2"

Rosy Barb
Temp 74-79ºF , Ph 6.0-7.0 , Max 6"

For loaches, how about Botia Kubotai. they are my favorite, and only get to be about 4". You will need at least 4-5, to see them play together.
