Need to decide-55g or 240....

ok, thanks for all your replies. i checked into ita bit and there's a couple of places that sell a 55g starter kit for about 200-250. so i'll either do that or build a small tank in preparation for the big one. by small i mean 100g or so. i'll probably go for the 55 just becuase of how cheap it is. once i get this tank i'll start a new thread with pics etc. and then probably in a few months look for the big tank DIY log. anyhow, thanks again. ps, it's a toss up between
A-Breeding JD
B-Breeding Salvini

Is there any particular reason you would rather go with the salvini? I suppose trying something new is always a good thing... just figured having jacks in the past might help getting back into things. Thanks again everyone, I like the quick and numerous responses. Of course, now i'm thinking closer to 500 gallons in the basement. Peackock Bass...

I'd breed ebjd's...selling the fry will help you make some money towards the 240... I would start off with a used 75 because jumping right into a monster tank is usually a bad idea. I've seen tanks up to 150 gallons for free, so finding a nicely setup 75 for 200$ should be a breeze...

Go to Aquabid.com they had a 180 in Canda for I think 500.00

That's a bit pricey for a 180...just check aquabid and craigslist everyday or two and you'll find a good deal...again, I'd suggest starting small at no more than 100 gallons, even if you do have experience.
