Oh BTW I needed uneaten food to be removed. Not that I over feed, but the smaller female marble sometimes does not eat all her krill. The 2 bigger rays get market shrimp, still trying to get the smaller one on shrimp.
I would worry about the loaches and the rays sharing the same space with the loaches bothering the rays. I thought about balas for my tank because they don't lay on the bottom.
I use balas and silver dollars. I need an algea eater though. The rays ate all the bristle nose I kept with them previously. They lasted about a year before the rays figured out they could eat them. All down hill from there.
and personally i would go with a frontosa over the loaches... and it be easier to drop a few less pieces in there is she doesnt eat all her food... but logical thinking isnt always the best choice... do a search on your loach idea... there was a guy who had a ray eat one got stuck in it and killed his ray...
If you go for frontosa go for some tank bred burundi as these will be much hardier, wild caught frontosa need to have a high and stable PH and KH and a lot of work put into them as we've found at work.
yeah i have been throwing ideas around for cleanup too im probably going to get a few geos...see how that goes... probably going to put a few discus in my smapper rays tank....hmmmm decisions decisions.
