NEED TO VENT!!! 22" Arowana BASICALLY KILLED!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I really doubt any of this happened. People put big fish in small tanks, there are inexperienced hobbyists, that's how it will always be.

thats cruel and mean. the guy who gave him the fish should get his 17'' arowana for free. you have complete rights to be mad

We had the same situation literally last week.

We got in a 20" silver arowana which a customer bought for his 6x2x2 we sold him it and 2 days later he came back in with it dead. He said that he woke up the following morning dead. he said he found it on the bottom. But when an arowana dies it floats they dont sink due to the large size of their swimbladder or at least in large arowana.

So we took a water sample which was fine, and my college dried to take a skin scraping to look under the microscope for bacteria or paracites he said it was so dry that it was impossible to. He did a full disection. and found nothing wrong. It clearly had jumped and the customer was lying, at least thats what it looks like. Now he wants his money back.

bro there are more things in the world to be upset about..Racism, murder, disease, missing children, poverty etc...No need to get so upset bro...I know its wrong but some people take things so much to heart .This stuff happens everyday and will hapen today, tmrw, and the next day..TAKE YOUR FRUSTRATION out BY donating canned goods to the needy or hold a door for the elderly....You seem really young by your thread....Just a life lesson

This aint the Peace Corp Sabatoge..LOL...It is a forum on Monster FIsh...This thread explains the ignorance that puts a lot of old fish in the lfs backrooms....I have seen so many back ups in stores of large Arowanas, it is sickening......So many people need to read the guidelines(forms like his) first when purchasing these majestic fish...In person we see a kid with a dad who has lots of money....But when we go home, the frustration is taken out on the web societies such as MFK......If this kid is on MFK, PM me pictures of your fishroom, then I will believe you have the trust of keeping such fish....Maybe trading in a few 55's for a 180, something along the lines like that.....But ban him if he is a joker(an undercover Monsterkiller)......

Unfortunately things like this happen all of the time. This guy just made himself more ignorant by putting his blunders on the internet.

While I share your disgust, my real pity goes out to the fish, and his previous owner. The guy thought he was doing the right thing for the fish and instead doomed it to a horrible death.

My assumption is that everyone is an idiot until I'm proven wrong. This is doubly true for the younger fish keepers.
