I just found out the hard way on how vicious a Car. Cincta (green tiger pike cichlid) is. I have never seen anything so angry before. And it ate everything I drop in the tank as well as some of my other fish.

"I want/need a fish that would eat anything I drop in the tank"

Gulper catfish comes to mind. Possibly a lurker puffer of some kind would fit.

Electric catfish in my experience will either eat or kill anything you drop in the tank, and it seems most specimens max out around 12", although they certainly have the potential to get bigger than that. Much disagreement about max size for ecats.

I like the idea of the gulper

dont quote me on this but i belive that very few gatf make it past 12".....well thats what i've heard

Because of being kept poorly and/or eaten by tankmates. GATF are also sissies.

I'd recommend scomb payara as well. Mine was viciously predatory.

Scombs top out at about a foot. They don't die if frightened, they simply have a very short life span. If you get an 8" from the fish store its already sexually mature and only has about a year left to live.
