a 55 for an oscar IMO is fine for awhile, but not for life. if you want advice or personal stories on mine though PM me, ive got some hilarious stories of mine. My oscar is very intelligent and outsmarts me on a daily basis. he learns my tricks before i can learn any of his

I have 2 Figure eights with my Gobies. They're characters. MY GSP ate a rock and it cut him from the inside out... that's my theory anyway. He chewed on EVERYTHING. Decorations. Rocks. Silicon. Glass. Me.
they were an impulse buy for me a long time ago. i put them in a heavily planted tank (i had spent 6 months getting the plants thick and full)... biggest mistake ever... they did not even stop to think about it, the moment they hit the new tank they tore it all up. by the time i could stop them every single plant was floating at the top in chunks
Yep. They'll do that for ya... getting plants to withstand brackish conditions... even harder IMO.
GSPs just arent meant to be with other fish i think. they say you can keep them with guppies. they tolerated it for awhile, then they decided that they only liked half of the guppy in their tank, so they removed the other half of the guppy.
