And how big they get? Can they survive out of water for some time? Em I gonna be able to see he’s teeth like the “long nose” I’m so into this fishes I will get a 100 G tomorrow and u said my tank is heavily stock with fishes? Is that y my water looks yellow cloudy?

Lmao no I’m just saying if it can survive out of water cuz I see some videos they have gars n they take them out of the water and measure them but they out of the water for like a good 10-15 min
 
I see my mistake, the fish in THIS thread that you posted and the fish in your avatar is without a doubt a Florida gar. However, you pulled the picture off the internet. I thought that was your fish...

So yes yours are actually characins, I was thinking you had the two pike characins and the Florida gar. Still do not add any fish.

Yes the pic in my profile is from the internet but it looks just like my fishes or how can u tell wat kind of charicin or “gar” is it?

To me they look very different. These pictures are pulled from the web so that its easier to show you. The fish on the left is a striped pike characin, there are also spotted pike characins, you have one of the two or both I cannot recall. But its tail has the "typical" fish "v" shape.

The fish on the right is a Florida gar. Its tail is rounded. All true gar have this type of tail.

Once you know you have a gar it gets tricky identifying the actual species when they are young. Gators are pretty easy to notice because of their snout shape. But Florida vs Spotted is left for the experts. Its safe to assume Florida because Spotted are rare in the hobby.
